Bakari the Handmade Art was founded as a bag, scarf and jewellery brand based on a ‘slow fashion’ philosophy. Committed to craftsmanship, and environmental and social values, it stays firmly in touch with the trends that excite the fashion world. Its accessories are carefully treated with water-based inks and a natural and ecological printing method, while bags use only certified FSC wood.

All the products of this lifestyle brand are handmade in Spain with traditional techniques. The lambskin, wood and metal trim in bags are made in Madrid and Seville, as its jewellery, while silk-satin scarves are made in Barcelona.

The brand has also developed soaps and candles with its own aromas, made from organic ingredients and essential oils, and will shortly be launching a contemporary line in jewellery in certified eco-silver and eco-gold.

Today, the sales and marketing strategy of Bakari The Handmade Art is mainly online through its website at www.bakarionline.es. Before the summer ends, the e-shop it “opened” just a month and a half ago, will be lodged in a website that operates in English, Spanish and French. The brand intends to take part in Who’s Next Paris in 2016, in order to grow its market in Europe and the USA.
