LeBron James’s Cavs Win Amazing NBA Finals

LeBron James was crowned as the best player on the planet after an exhibition that allowed the city of Cleveland reached its first title in over 50 years, not only basketball, but other professional sports. The very remarkable season of the Golden State Warriors, his rivals in the NBA Finals, which reached a record regular-season games won by any team in the NBA history, was not endorsed with the final title.

The Warriors had had serious difficulties in eliminating his rivals in the  West, the Oklahoma City Thunder of Ibaka and Kevin Durant, also needing seven games to beat them. Interestingly also rallied 1-3 against, and this time the help of the noisy crowd  of Oakland in the seventh game, they moved  to the finals.

While the star of the Warriors, Stephen Curry was never at his best shape during the final series since dragging an injury from one the first games of the playoffs. Anyway,  he had enough skill to beat the record of scored three-pointers  (32) in NBA finals, and to be very close to achieve his second title in row.

The LeBron James & Kyrie Irving duo performed a sublime performance in the 5th match, which scored 41 points each.  Another historic milestone. But the work of LeBron James touched the supernatural, leading all the final statistics (points, rebounds, assists, steals …) category. The culmination of his work was an impossible block-shot when remained less than two minutes with the score tied at 89-89. Where does this man appeared  to stop  an almost sure score?

The NBA Finals this year have been the most followed by the reasons explained above, by the struggle of two players of extraordinary basketball (LeBron and Curry), capable of questioning whether Michael Jordan is still considered  the best player the history. With an average of USD 2000 per locality, there were those who came to pay one hundred thousand dollars for a pair of tickets for the final game. These figures approximate the amount paid in the biggest sporting spectacle of the US as the Superbowl. The final matches reached audiences that exceeded 20 million viewers.

The One-Billion contract
The marvelous performance of LeBron James in these finals helps to  justify the astronomical contract that the star of the Cavs signed with Nike. A life time One Billion dollar contract to wear Nike clothes. One of the architects of the signing of the contract Maverick Carter, partner LeBron and friend of his childhood in Acron (Ohio), was present in the final and was the first to greet both LeBron and the disappointed Steph Curry, curiously, he was also born in the locality of Acron.

The NBA title is a big boost for Nike, (which also includes Kyrie Irving, another  of the Cav´s most valuable players on this  NBA title) in their fight against Under Armour, the brand that wears  Stephen Curry. The American company has launched an original video («Is  worth the wait») which congratulates the city of Cleveland for achieving a title after so many decades of drought.

The consequences of these tight NBA Finals will not wait and at a time when there are so many stars of the league are free agents. Let´s see how franchises do their best to sign contracts with the best of them. It seems difficult for the Cavs to repeat this so long waited awards.
