Porsche Design Sport by adidas has designed a collection around the themes of seasonal urban commuting, offering the urban-active man everything he needs for his varied daily journeys. Having previously unveiled ‘Commuting in Darkness’ and ‘Commuting in Cold’ stories, Porsche Design Sport by adidas now reveals a stand-out look designed for warmer conditions.

Inspired by the fusion of technology, natural structures and geometric patterning, the SS17 collection champions a metallic, reflective and ombre palette along with a hexagonal all-over graphic which reflects mechanical, dynamic expressions and movement.

Elaborating on the season’s themes and principles, Jacques Chassaing, Senior Design Director Porsche Design Sport by adidas explains, “The commuting concept provided us with the perfect foundation to design functional, technical and efficient looks for our consumer that are also infused with our brand’s renowned style and luxury. This season we dedicated ourselves to simplifying many of our hero products and, in doing so, enhanced the precision, quality and accuracy of our offering.”

The Superlight Jacket is a streamlined, water-repellent outer engineered from a single layer of ultra-lightweight nylon. Designed to pack into a double sided pocket, this functional piece demonstrates exceptional versatility – offering lightweight protection that can be easily stowed when you reach your destination. Featuring adidas climachill technology, the sophisticated Chill Tee maintains the body’s optimal temperature for performance, even in warm conditions. Complementary design features, including subtle branding, inject Porsche Design Sport by adidas’ unsurpassable attention to form.

Complementing the look is the Hybrid Short A. Comprising two layers – a tight-fitting compressive layer beneath a lightweight, airy, stretch nylon outer – the clean, modern-looking short ensures superior functionality and a sophisticated silhouette. Strategic design features, including an elastic waistband with an enclosed drawcord to customise fit and a small back zip-pocket for securely storing keys in place during activity, make these shorts a reliable yet stylish training partner this season.
