The exhibition includes portraits, locations and personalities: mixing India with Australia, Sudan with Papua New Guinea, East End londoners with «pins-ups». Among this diverse range of subjects and groups are portraits of Jean Shrimpton, Jack Nicholson, Kate Moss and the Rolling Stones. In creation the exhibition Bailey made new  silver gelatin prints to allow him to reassess each image.

In line with the projects in support of art, culture and architecture in Italy that are an integral part of its philosophy, Tod´s Group is presenting this important exhibition in Mlan at the Prestigious Padiglione D´arte Contemporanea with wich it collaborates as official sponsor of The Gallery´s Exhibitions.

This partnership is supporting Milan´s city administration un plans for the joint production of events of major artistic interest, of which David Bailey´s Stardust represents the first chapter.  With this major exhibition, Tod´s is making a contribution to the program of events scheduled pro Expo 2015, with the aim of promotions and supporting Milan and Italy in general as important venues on the international cultural circuit.

A program of free-of-charge visits for schools and universities will be launched in the coming months to encourage young people as well to explore the worlds of art and culture in general. Stardust was organized with contributions from the National Portrait Gallery London and the magazine Icon. The exhibition opens to the public from 1 march to 2 June 2015.
