Escalade and ATS Drive Global Sales in May
Sales up 4 percent year to date.
Cadillac’s global sales totaled 22,609 vehicles in May, in line with a year ago, and led by sharp increases for the ATS and Escalade product lines. Cadillac global sales are up 4 percent year to date compared with 2014. A full year following its redesign, sales of the new Escalade continues to grow. So far in 2015, Escalade sales have risen 94 percent globally and 84 percent in the United States. Sales of the ATS compact luxury car rose 26 percent globally in May.
The SRX crossover rose 21 percent in the United States to the highest-ever total for the month of May. Overall, Cadillac sales in the U.S. declined 1.9 percent. Cadillac’s ongoing product enhancements have transformed the brand and elevated its position in the luxury marketplace. The average transaction price for Cadillac’s sold in May in the U.S. market topped $52,000 – more than $5,000 higher than the same period a year ago.
In June, initial units of the first-ever ATS-V will ship to dealer showrooms. This elite high-performance offering expands Cadillac’s acclaimed V-Series in exceptional fashion, with 464-hp editions of the ATS Coupe and Sedan models.
