Bosco clothing brand, is known in Spain that was chosen by the Spanish Olympic Committee for the uniforms that wore our athletes during the 2012 Summer Olympics, in London. That choice was not without controversy. On the one hand it was criticized the fact that he had not been given that chance to a Spanish fashion company and secondly, the design of the equipments itself also received criticism. In fact, in the following Olympics, the 2016 Rio was the Spanish brand Joma which took care of the Spanish official clothes.

Bosco is a fashion firm well established in Russia, which has won both among athletes and the public in general and undoubtedly is high quality clothes and with a very original and extrapolable design beyond Russia’s borders, although in the Spanish case didn´t work so well.

A big retailing holding.
The company Bosco di Ciliegi, which is its full name (cherry forest, translated from Italian) was founded in 1991 as part of turning to sports fashion was established as a retail giant that in 2004 acquired the GUM store, located in Red Square, right in front of Lenin’s Mausoleum.

These stores were the first shop I had the opportunity to visit on my first trip to Russia in 1994, at a time when the country suffered serious economic difficulties and still impressed me positively. The changes that have taken place in Russia since become visible in these GUM big stores, which have reached much more variety  luxury and elegance. The company operated every Christmas a huge ice rink on Red Square itself, which gives a special and a very colorful atmosphere.
