Estée Lauder Companies Target Price Updated by BMO Capital

BMO also increased its full year 2015 earnings estimates on Estée to $2.95 per share from $2.90 per share.

Estée Lauder Companies Inc.  price target was upped to $80 from $75 by analysts at BMO Capital, based on the company’s strong growth due to new products. BMO also increased its full year 2015 earnings estimates on Estée to $2.95 per share from $2.90 per share. Estée Lauder recently released its earnings report for the fiscal 2015 second quarter beating the consensus estimate with earnings of $1.13 per share. “Estée Lauder’s strategy seems on track,” BMO noted. The firm pointed out Estée’s 4% increase in same-store-sales and its 15% rise in retail sales as part of its reason for its price target and estimates boost. Estée Lauder’s current market cap stands at $30.93 billion.

Compared to other peers in the Personal Products sector, Estée Lauder has outperformed in terms of quarterly revenue growth year over year at 0.01 vs. the industry average of 0.00.

Estée Lauder is currently covered by 23 Wall Street analysts. The mean target price is $84.45 according to First Call.  This presents a solid upside to the current price of the equity.  The Mean Recommendation sits at 2.2 which is based on 6 Strong Buy, 9 Buy and 7 Hold ratings. The most recent analyst actions consisted of Argus initiating the stock on July 17th and B. Riley & Co. initiating coverage with a downgrading rating back in June. The current quarter EPS consensus estimate is .51 with revenue estimates of 2.56B.  Sales are expected to grow at a 0.50% rate.  Estée Lauder reported actual earnings last quarter of 1.13 which beats the 1.05 consensus estimate, a 7.60% surprise.
