Esdor’s ‘Enocosmetics’ on the Rise

The Matarromera wine group was one of the pioneers in Spain. In late 2010, it launched Esdor, a high-end line in cosmetics enriched with eminol, a natural extract high in grape polyphenols with powerful antioxidant properties that care for skin and delay the onset of ageing. Polyphenols are mainly found in the skin and seeds of grapes, especially vitis vinifera tempranillo, a grape variety found in the wine-producing region of Ribera del Duero. Esdor also has its own patented polyphenol extraction process, developed at its facility in Valbuena de Duero, Valladolid in central Spain.

Over the years, the brand has developed cleansing line Vid Essential, facial serums Gran Reserva, treatment programmes Vid Perfection and Vid Origin, and its collection For Men. Always up on the latest cosmetics trends, Esdor is now catering for the growing demand in oil-based textures for face, body and hair care, with a new line in dry-touch face oils. The Vid Sublime range includes rice oil and UVA, to balance and purify, passion fruit and grape oil to moisturise and protect, and camelia and grape with anti-aging, regenerative and soothing properties.

The launch coincides with entry into China, courtesy of importer-distributor Mylohas Beauty. Esdor takes part in trade shows like Cosmoprof Bologna and Beauty World Dubai, which has helped it move into the pharmacy and luxury spa channels in 18 different markets, including the USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Poland, Belgium, Sweden, Georgia and UAE.
