From Arran Island To the World
25 years overlooks the finest Scottish handmade soap.
Arran Aromatics was founded by Janet Russell and her husband Iain in the kitchen of their cottage on the beautiful Isle of Arran, making soaps and body creams infused with original fragrances inspired by the landscape and scents of the island they so loved.
From these modest, but sincere beginnings, Arran Aromatics would develop into one of the best-loved brands in Scotland, with a following that reaches around the world.
Business grew quickly, and Janet and Iain moved to Home Farm, an old dairy farm for the historic Brodick Castle. They soon set about converting the original farmhouse into a design centre for the new fragrances they were imagining, while the old milking pens became a soap factory and the cow shed a production centre. Your growing range of hand-finished products became increasingly popular and a short time later, a small Arran Aromatics boutique opened at the scenic Brodick Pier that welcomes the ferry from the mainland, just two minutes from Home Farm.
Janet had long held a desire to capture her favourite natural aroma. That fresh, succulent scent of a garden in the magically calm moments following a summer rainstorm.«After much consideration with our in-house perfumers, and slow nurturing of different, sensual blends to uncover the aromatic secret, it eventually revealed itself. After the Rain was brought to life in a heady bouquet of rose, musk and citrus, with an effervescent palette of exhilarating base notes and subtly provocative accents. It has been our most popular fragrance ever since».
Capture that moment in nature for yourself and experience the fresh sensation of After the Rain with our eau de toilette, candles and shea butter – just some of the treats in the collection.
