The new Dior VIII Montaige 2015 Fall-Winter 2015 Edition is here.
A new Dior VIII Montaigne model comes to complete the collection in a seasonal Fall-Winter 2015 edition. Its combination of materials, finishes and colours are perfectly in keeping with Dior’s modern ready-to-wear spirit.
For day as for evening, the Dior VIII celebrates all the facets of feminine time. With regard to the day, here it comes in 25 and 32 mm formats embellished with new dials in pink shades –recalling the façade of Monsieur Dior’s Norman home at Granville – or in gleaming white mother-of-pearl, royal blue or dense plum illuminated by one or two hems of brilliant cut diamonds.
Traditionally proposed on its pyramidal link bracelet, this year it’s madly in love with the idea of being a ready- to-wear accessory, coming in a multitude of colourfully piped straps in leather and rubber or exotic leathers… The runway’s chromatic spirit is recaptured in the density of the blue, plum and dark green of the dials on the Grand Bal versions or in the peach piped white and blue piped plum of the straps.
This 32mm Dior VIII Montaigne timepiece is adorned with a shimmering dial, tinted in translucent plum-coloured lacquer, hemmed in diamonds and touches of pink gold, as well as a plum-coloured calfskin strap lined in blue rubber.
The new Dior Couture Horlogerie came after the vibrant and all new renovated summer collection «la Mini D de Dior», reflecting Victoire de Castellane’s poetic and playful spirit, these two new versions of the La Mini D de Dior play with rainbow-coloured patent leather straps . With their delicate black mother-of-pearl dials and precious diamond-set bezels, crowns and buckles, these timepieces bear the signature of Dior’s fine jewellery-making.
«A woman who borrows the watch of a man so that she always thinks about him…»This is how the La D de Dior came to be born in 2003, inspired by the 70s and from the outset including jewellery-making materials such as gold, diamonds and ornamental stones. It has kept the purity of its shapes from the masculine look designed by Victoire de Castellane but has been enriched by an assertive femininity.
La D de Dior embodies the spirit of Dior Fine Jewellery and reconciles the jewellery-making expertise of sparkling snow settings and ornamental stone dials, as well as the creative audacity of teaming materials and colours with Swiss watchmaking know-how including, for some, the mechanical Elite movement by Zenith manufacture. Whatever its diameter – 19, 21, 25 or 38 mm –, the La D de Dior is adorned with stones of impeccable quality in colours corresponding to the artistic demands of the designer.
