Technogym, the leading company in the field of fitness and wellness, has launched his challenge «Let’s Move for a Better World». All persons doing exercise with Technogym equipment in clubs from 10 different countries will have the opportunity to contribute to this cause and donate to a local school gym. Simply by being active and record physical activity through your local fitness, users have the opportunity to win fitness equipment.

The most active club in each country – which accumulates the highest number of moves (Unit of measure for movement Technogym) – can win the opportunity to donate a circuit of fitness for a school of their choice and helping people to contribute their country to get fit. Thanks to Technogym Ecosystem – the first open platform that includes industry, content, software and cloud mywellness Technogym – you can create a challenge between the different clubs and among people within the club, compiling your training data and creating a ranking to share with the community.

Let’s Move for a Better World is the result of 30 years of commitment by Technogym to improve welfare worldwide. The campaign offers the opportunity to create a more sustainable society based on personal health, and educate the younger generation what is the fundamental starting point for a common goal game.

Childhood obesity is one of the most serious epidemics of the XXI century. In 2015, 70 million children under five years will be overweight or obese, if current trends continue. In 2013, 42 million children under five years were overweight or obese. Children who are overweight and obese are more likely to develop non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease at a younger age. In the past 30 years, childhood obesity has more than doubled among children and adolescents * quadrupled.

Overweight, obesity and its related diseases are largely preventable through healthy eating habits and regular physical activity measured. The World Health Organization recommends a minimum of 60 minutes of regular physical activity, moderate to vigorous intensity each day. It’s simple, just join your local gym with Technogym, adds moves and watch become more active, healthy and happy community. So come and join Let’s Move for a Better World.
