Pili Carrera Takes its Traditional Childrenswear to Africa
After making waves in Florida and Abu Dhabi, the Spanish brand heads to the Angolan capital, while expanding its online store to Europe and the United States.
All the miniature heirs of the finest European royal families wear Pili Carrera: Amalia, Ariadna and Alexia of the Netherlands; Isabella from Denmark; Estelle of Sweden; even Leonor, the current Princess of Asturias and her sister Infanta Sofía… But beyond the media allure of the sartorial inclinations of royal babies and those that dress them, Pili Carrera has a long tradition of providing “high-quality and impeccable design” that stretches over fifty years.
With a vast single-brand chain of stores across 16 countries and a presence in more than 600 multi-brand points of sale, including the prestigious department stores Neiman Marcus in the US and Harvey Nichols in the UK, Pili Carrera is now headed to Angola.
The boutique is located in Baía de Luanda, the capital’s new and most emblematic shopping area. “The Angolan market is growing exponentially and its customer profile is very demanding,” officials at Pili Carrera explained.
The company, headquartered in Mos (Pontevedra) where it carries out 100% of its production, is preparing to expand its online store to the rest of Europe and the United States. It simultaneously seeks to strengthen its presence in the US, Asia and Arab states, as it negotiates its entry into new markets over the course of 2016.
