The lighting company will be able to export its designs to China.
Spanish lighting company Copenlamp has just acquired the certificate, China Compulsory Certification, also known as the CCC mark, whereby all its certified products can be marketed in China. Ten years ago, the firm decided to put all its efforts in the design and marketing of its products towards exporting them. Consequently, it now sells 92 per cent of these to over 40 countries, and participates every year in the world’s most prestigious design fairs.
In 2013, the company decided to focus on China’s huge market, where Made in Spain and Made in Europe products have a wide appeal among the country’s sectors with the highest purchasing power. To this end, it first analysed the needs of the market in depth, visiting different cities in the process, before concluding that the country offered business opportunities. It then took all the necessary steps to obtain the CCC certificate, which it has recently acquired and which allows it to sell its products in this huge Asian market. Copenlamp has now set up agreements with leading distribution companies in the country.
Copenlamp specialises in hand-made glass and metal lighting in a classical style. All its pieces are produced with special care — from the way they’re designed to the quality of the components used.
