Pool Buoy, the world’s first and only floating pool umbrella, is pleased to announce three exciting new partnerships with Pool Corporation (POOLCORP) and Essentials – the industry-leading distributors of pool products – and Carecraft, a national network of independent pool professionals.

POOLCORP is the largest wholesale distributor of swimming pool and related backyard products. As a vendor, Pool Buoy is available for purchase via POOLCORP’s wholesale sales centers through two networks: SCP Distributors LLC and Superior Pool Products LLC. Essentials is an industry leader in sourcing and developing spa accessory products, distributing through pool and spa specialty retailers throughout the US, Canada and internationally.

Carecraft is the membership organization of choice for independent pool, spa and patio business professionals. The partnership with Pool Buoy grants Carecraft members exclusive offers and a first-look into new products. The Pool Buoy became available in the market in May 2015 under Shade Science LLC, a company owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Jeremy and Erica Sloan.

«This announcement is very exciting for us,» said Pool Buoy Inventor Jeremy Sloan.  «We introduced the Pool Buoy product just two months ago and it’s already been incredibly successful. The new partnerships give us the opportunity to provide pool specialty retailers across the world with an innovative product that allows for more fun and less sun.»

The unique design of the weighted buoy keeps the umbrella stable in both wind and waves, and the shade provides sun protection while floating freely in the water. The seven-foot beach-style umbrella is made from sturdy aluminum and covered in fabric with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) of 95 for guarding against sun damage. It fits precisely into the patent-pending buoy topped by a tray and five cup holders.

«We set out to make something people want and need by creating a product that feels playful but works to protect you when you’re in the water,» said Erica Sloan, director of sales for Pool Buoy. «The Pool Buoy can withstand significant wind and wave turbulence without tipping, and it also assembles in five easy steps.»
