Mossaic, the New «it bag» From Tous
The Spanish jewellery and accessories brand has launched a leather tote bag featuring a new monogram, featuring four interlaced bears which symbolise the daughters of the creative heart of the company, Rosa Oriol.
With Mossaic, Tous is paying an homage to its heritage. Celebrating 50 years of dedication by Rosa Oriol, the bear-shaped symbol of the brand is entwined together to produce a hand-crafted kaleidoscopic pattern. The design was inspired by the encaustic tile mosaics found in late 19th Century Catalan homes.
This repeated monogram symbolises Rosa, Alba, Laura and Marta, the four daughters of the founder and creative heart of Tous, and was created with a view to becoming the most precious visual referent of the brand in its upcoming collections.
This tote bag is as functional as it is classic and timeless, and can be worn open or with fastened sides. Made from high-quality cow’s leather and available in navy blue or camel, this handbag is the star of the new product line, which also features shoulder bags and wallets.
Although the origins of the Tous brand date back to 1920, it was under the leadership of Rosa Oriol and Salvador Tous that it departed from the traditional jewellery concept by implementing an innovative offering of prêt-à-porter, easy-to-wear seasonal pieces.
