Our Children Carry Bags Too

The fashion world is for everyone, age is no barrier so children also play a major role in this sector. Also, let’s face it, who hasn’t stood in front of a window full of baby clothes and felt a surge of affection? We all love to see a «mini» version of adult clothes. Many have been brand ambassadors for large fashion houses and also many celebrities who want to show off their children.

We remember the high-profile fashion campaign shot by Brooklyn Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, for Burberry. In that moment the British brand showed us that children also have the right to experience and enjoy fashion just as much as we do and to feel comfortable, safe and free.

But the latest high profile, much talked about campaign is that of Louis Vuitton, using Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith as the image for its Spring/Summer 2016 women’s collection. It had a major social impact, a seventeen year old boy promoting a women´s fashion campaign. Fashion knows no barriers, neither age nor gender, we are talking about generation Z.

And if we look at the bags for both boys and girls we love them even more. Seeing the classic luxury brands in miniature for our children is just so adorable. Thousands of women buy handbags and shoes and there are many children who want to show off and flaunt the same bag as their mum. In order to respond to this demand designers have worked hard to launch special collections just for them, the Kings of the house!

In this list we find Dior with its Nano version of its Lady Dior collection. A little gem that girls will love.

Dolce & Gabbana has opted for shoulder bags with the same designs as those presented in its fashion shows for adults. This allows children and parents to go out wearing matching outfits.

Another Italian firm, Gucci, gives more importance to its line of accessories believing that this is where children´s passion for fashion, bags and shoe resides. One of the bags that´s always successful is the canvas Tote, don´t tell me it´s not cute! I would even buy it for myself.

As a good mother should, Stella McCartney also has her own children’s line, both for boys and girls. Her star piece is the black backpack with Maya holographics. So now you know what they are asking for, dress your kids fashionably!
