There are different types of bag that vary in shape and size. We’re familiar with the bowling bag, the satchel, the shopper bag, the clutch bag, etc., and each is intended for a specific time of day and aimed at a certain type of person. The clutch and the wristlet are two types of bag that lead to confusion more often than not. Both are small and reserved for carrying the most essential items such as mobile phones, keys and purses. However, there are some differences between them. Do you want to know what they are?
Clutch: The model par excellence for combining with evening looks. It can be worn in the hand, or on the shoulder if it has a strap. It used to be kept exclusively for special occasions, but nowadays you can wear it at any time of day, whether in the morning or at an evening get-together with friends.
Wristlet: Lots of women used to go to parties with a clutch bag and a small toilet bag for their make-up. The firms realised this small detail and thought about combining both. And that’s how the Wristlet – also known as a Pouch or Pochette in French – was born. You can tell it apart because it usually has a long handle for hanging from the wrist. It is also made from easy-to-clean materials.
