Muro.exe Reinvents Its Look
The Spanish smart training shoe brand celebrates its second birthday with a new limited edition of even cleaner cuts.
“Erosion” has been chosen as the name for Muro.exe’s latest one-off collection. Its now iconic hybrid style, somewhere between a shoe and a trainer, is refined even further, featuring a greater focus on straight lines and a reduced instep for a more elegant, formal effect.
This landscape-inspired triptych features the three new models Limestone, Glacier and Dunes: surfaces and textures all caused by erosion. Crafted from synthetic suede, they also feature an adhesive lining that allows the shoe to adapt better to thick winter socks.
The brand, whose slogan is ‘Functional footwear for smart humans’, combines the savoir-faire of industrial, conceptual and fashion designers with expertise in sports biomechanics. The result: contemporary, vegan, unisex footwear for urbanites, launched two years ago in the digital domain. Today, most of Muro.exe’s business takes place through online sales in Germany, via their own e-shop offering free shipping, exchanges and returns worldwide.
At the same time, its expansion in retail is also gathering momentum, now distributing in Germany, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, the United States and Mexico. The brand is predicted to reach 120 points of sale during the SS16 season, and intends to make its debut on the international fashion trade show circuit with presence at Liberty Fairs in Las Vegas and SEEK Berlin.
