Heath Ceramics in San Francisco
I love to feel the weight of their tableware and the patina and matt finish of their ceramics.
If you appreciate arts and crafts and objects of unique quality and design you must visit the new Heath Ceramics shop in San Francisco.
I love to feel the weight of their tableware and the patina and matt finish of their ceramics. The color range is also very unique, I particularly like the Chocolate Brown, French Grey and Mist colors. In a way it reminds me of the Bauer pottery I wrote about here . It is difficult to get the whole experience if you cannot pick up one of their pieces and feel it with your fingers, each object feels earthy, handcrafted and a work of art. I do not know of a more modern line of tableware.
Here is the history of Heath Ceramics from Sausalito, California
The shop is in a 60,000-square-foot building which has been divided into a multiuse design hub replete with 3,500-square-foot gallery-like store, chef’s kitchen, on-site tile factory that you can look into from the shop, tile design bar, a delicious Blue Bottle Coffee outpost and, eventually, a restaurant.
Wonderful!
