Bershka and Reebok Team up on City Maps Sneaker
The Spanish brand pools its expertise in youth trends with the technological know-how of the US-based fitness company.
The new academic year has ushered in a record-breaking partnership that is the result of the boom in healthy lifestyles and an increasingly profitable convergence between the worlds of fashion and sport. Inditex-owned youthwear brand Bershka has teamed up with global fitness brand Reebok on an exclusive new sneaker design called City Maps.
The fusion of technical Reebok expertise and trendy Bershka design have produced a street-style sport shoe which combines tricot with breathable materials. Weighing in at an ultra-light 194 grams, with an outer sole made from Foam Sublite for better cushioning, this versatile footwear is suitable for any kind of urban workout or training in diverse sports disciplines.
Now on sale from select Bershka shops and Bershka.com as part of the fashion chain’s Start Moving sports collection, the new product marks the start of a partnership set to continue this season with another exclusive design that will hit the shops in October.
Created in 1998 and aimed at a younger target, up on all the latest trends and keen on music, social networks and new technologies, Bershka now has more than 1,000 shops in 68 markets. Its sales account for 10% of Inditex Group’s total earnings.
