«Chronic pain from rheumatoid arthritis was stealing my life away,» says Grotto de Sal Co-founder Elias Amkie. «Western medicine offered me little hope, but lots of dangerous side effects. My family and I knew there had to be another way. We flew to Israel to experience the rejuvenating properties of the Dead Sea’s salt waters. Today, I can walk on my own and I don’t need a regimen of painkillers.»

The signature salt water pools at Grotto de Sal contain minerals imported from Israel and carefully mixed to provide maximal therapeutic benefit. Pools sessions are private, so guests are welcome to wear a swimsuit or nothing at all. The spa provides complimentary towels, robes and sandals. Before and after a session, guests are free to enjoy the adjacent steam and relaxation room.
