Dior Cocktail at the Plaza Athénée

The destination was just steps from the historic Dior address of 30 Avenue Montaigne – the Hôtel Plaza Athénée, where Christian Dior was a regular, and which for the past decade has been home to a Dior Institut. The evening began with a tour of this sumptuous spa as it unveiled its new layout and facilities.«It’s magnificent,» exclaimed Eva Herzigova. «It’s very fresh and new, with very beautiful details.» At the bottom of the stairs leading to it guests were greeted by a wall of white roses, a reference to Christian Dior’s favorite flower, and to the Granville rose that’s to be found at the heart of Dior Prestige skincare.

«I’ve been using Dior skincare for years,» says Korean blogger Chriselle Lim. «I’m a big fan of the Prestige range». In a softly-lit ambiance, the exploration route led through suites decorated with gilded woodwork and a mirrored ceiling twinkling with crystals, then to the relaxation room behind a sculptural fountain, before finishing back on the ground floor in the emblematic Le Bar du Plaza Athénée.

Wrapping up the end of Paris Fashion Week, the Dior-wearing stars found themselves among some devoted beauty addicts and personalities from the worlds of fashion, music and cinema. Champagne was sipped, fun was had, and beauty secrets shared.

The actress Lola Le Lann, perching on her Dior haute couture heels, gave in to the temptation for selfie-taking. «Don’t eat spicy foods, and stay happy!» smiles Linda Li Jing. «I love the Glow Maximizer!» exclaimed actress and model Aymeline Valade. «It lights up your face. I put it here, here, and here…» 

For star ballet dancer Marie-Agnès Gillot the secret is Crème Abricot, «the miracle product for my hands». According to Julia Restoin Roitfeld, nothing beats a good night’s sleep. And Elizabeth von Guttman is very much of this opinion: «After a month of fashion weeks I hope to be able to sample the spa and try to recover a little!»
