Daniel Chavez Moran, founder of Mexico-based luxury tourism developer Grupo Vidanta, and the Delia Moran Vidanta Foundation recently donated «Estatua del Pendon,» a cast bronze replica of a statue by 20th century Dominican monk and sculptor Miguel Iribertegui Eraso, to the city of Leon, Spain.

During the dedication ceremony with city officials, Foundation president Jeanette Perez Darnell noted the city’s philanthropic heritage in announcing plans to open a new Delia Moran Vidanta Foundation center to serve underprivileged children in Leon. The statue was dedicated to Miguel Moran, a 19th century Leon politician and philanthropist, and was installed at the site of his tomb.
