Panasonic unveiled today the world’s first Countertop Induction Oven (CIO) at the International Home & Housewares Show. The revolutionary Panasonic Countertop Induction Oven combines proprietary induction and double-infrared heating technologies for delicious food and healthy cooking options in minutes.

Panasonic’s Countertop Induction Oven calls upon the company’s more than 40-years history of innovation in induction heating technology. It quickly grills, bakes, toasts, and re-heats and requires little or no preheating, resulting in perfectly cooked meals. With pre-set menu options and adjustable temperature control, the Panasonic CIO takes the guesswork out of grilling steaks, cooking chicken and vegetables all at once but with results that are more flavorful — crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside.

The secret to flavorful results delivered by the Panasonic CIO is the combination of direct induction heat and a sealed, compact interior. Flavored, circulating steam enhances taste. The CIO’s unique, dishwasher-safe grill reduces excessive moisture and oil while producing BBQ-quality sear and sizzle.

«Our new, one-of-a-kind Countertop Induction Oven will change the landscape of the consumer’s kitchen,» said Lisa Knierim, Vice President of Panasonic Home Division. «The CIO is an example of innovation at its best.  It delivers a quick, yet high-end and healthy cooking experience to consumers in a compact, easy-to-use design.» The Panasonic Countertop Induction Oven will be available in October 2016 with pricing and availability to be announced at a later date.
