Some royal meet-and-greet events can last up to two hours. They usually entail large audiences and as a result Queen Letizia relies on Spanish women’s shoe brand Magrit for such occasions. The monarch’s trust in the brand confirms the attributes of their product that have made it possible for Magrit to leave its mark on 5 continents.

“The design and elegance provided by the luxury materials, combined with the quality of the artisanal crafting and finish, create feminine shoes that are distinguished and sufficiently comfortable to wear for hours at a time,” company officials stated. “We have four generations of shoemakers working on every detail to ensure an unmistakable shoe fit,” they added.

While their products have been handcrafted in Elda (Alicante) since 1929, Magrit began their internationalization process 40 years ago and currently count Europe as their main market. However, their products can be found throughout Asia and South America at exclusive shoe stores, boutiques and retailers. They are now taking another important step forward in their expansion with the grand opening of their flagship store in the center of Madrid’s Golden Mile, namely at number 19 on calle Ortega y Gasset.

“We love how fashion is celebrated in Milan, Paris and London, and those cities are without question our next targets.” Some of Magrit’s most iconic shoes include the vinyl Silvie model featuring methacrylate heels, or the Delia with its array of precious stones. These and others will be carried at their new store where they will also provide a customization service, allowing customers to have their pick from among over 20 models made using assorted lasts and combining them in different materials and colors.
