Terence Steinberg, an MBA student at London Business School (graduates 2017), and his London Business School mentor, Bryan Stroube, Assistant Professor, Strategy and Entrepreneurship, have been awarded a place on the 2016 Schmidt MacArthur Fellowship, a year-long international programme on the circular economy for postgraduates studying design, engineering and business.
Terence Steinberg says: “I believe that ‘going circular’ is critical to bringing prosperity to the economy and restoring balance in our ecosystems. This conviction inspired me to pursue my MBA at London Business School. I am honoured to now become a Schmidt-MacArthur Fellow to research circular economic innovation.”
Dr Stroube says: “The Fellowship is an exciting opportunity to be part of the conversation on novel ways to address some very pressing issues. I look forward to watching Terence’s project develop over the course of the programme.”
Students at Schmidt MacArthur Fellowship partner institutions, which includes London Business School, apply to win a place by submitting a 90-second film. The film addresses two questions on the circular economy and is assessed on the student’s passion, creativity, inquisitiveness and understanding of the circular economy.
