The most relaxing hotel in Thailand

Publicado por:

After attending a fabulous Indian wedding in Mahabalipuram, India that lasted for four days and four nights we were searching for the perfect peaceful setting to rest. We found that and more in Chiang Mai at the Four Seasons Hotel. As we came in the semi-opened double-height ceiling lobby we were immediately taken by the breathtaking view of the green mountains in the background and lush trees separated here and there by steep gabled roofs, exotic looking to me, and so typical of Thai architecture.

The hotel is Thai architecture

Attracted like a magnet towards the outdoors, I found myself in a terrace dominating the whole property which is entirely set on rice fields and tropical gardens. The beauty of the landscape combined with the most blue sky and the purity of the air made me wonder if I had arrived in paradise. We were greeted with a refreshing juice and fresh Jasmine hand-made garland in a settee filled with plush and comfy cushions to do our check in.

Danuphol, the residence manager came with a heavenly green, pink and purple orchid bouquet to wish us a happy anniversary and tell us he had a surprise in store for us! Picked by our curiosity we quickly went on a golf cart and were brought to the Pool Villa One, our dream private villa with our own garden and pool. The surprise upgrade came complete, with flowers and petals everywhere. The villa itself, designed in a Thai style, was exquisitely comfortable and private.

A perfect hotel to relax

Sipping chilled wine and eating my impeccably presented snack, Lannai Style, (all part of the surprise), I heard the sound of our private cascade, the only one in the hotel, closed my eyes and thought I will definitely rest and relax here! Four Seasons provided us throughout our stay with outstanding service. There is a range of activities on site including Thai cooking lessons, Rice planting, Yoga and others.
