UGG, a division of Deckers Brands, celebrated the first day of fall and the kickoff of UGG season with in-store styling events hosted by digital fashion influencers in five major cities across the US. Guests received tips from the fashionistas (including Lo Bosworth of The Lo Down in New York and Sonya Esman of Class is Internal in Los Angeles) on how to style the iconic Classic boot and similar silhouettes. Attendees enjoyed complimentary Swarovski crystal customization with any Classic product purchased.
Lo Bosworth, recent winner of the Bloglovin’ «2015 Best Celebrity Blog Award», who hosted the UGG season event at the Madison Avenue flagship location said, «I’ll always be a California girl at heart and grew up with the brand. Now that I live in the city, I continue to wear the iconic shoe to this day, styling it with a more tailored look that is quintessential New York.»
«I love the Classic boots, and tonight, I just personalized them with the raddest design using Swarovski crystals,» said Sonya Esman, who led the styling event at the UGG store located at The Grove in Los Angeles. «They’re now my absolutely favorite going into fall. These boots have been in my wardrobe for 15 years, I simply cannot live without them.»
Local bloggers hosted additional store events at key retail locations in North America which included Lenox Square in Atlanta, Houston Galleria in Houston, and the 900 North Michigan Shops in Chicago. In addition to the influencer hosts, celebrity fans have voiced their love for UGG.
Alexa Chung stated on Nick Grimshaw’s Breakfast show on BBC Radio 1, «My UGG boots are my favorite item of clothing. I wear them all the time, they’re very comfortable. I know people are over them but I love them.»
Taking to the streets, Olivia Culpo styled her first autumnal look with the Abree Short from the Classic Luxe Collection.
On social media, Bella Thorne tweeted: «So excited for #UGGSEASON! Ready to break out my Fall gear.»
