Loewe launches INDIGO collection

Reinforcing the jeans motif, the ‘Amazona Indigo’ features double-stitched detailing, and rivets on the corners of its patches; along with the padlock and zip, these rivets are in antiqued brass on the darker blue edition, and in vintage-look palladium on the lighter blue.The interior of the ‘Amazona Indigo’ reveals a tan calf-leather plaque embossed with the Loewe logo, emulating the leather patch traditionally placed on jeans to the rear of the waistband.The bag is also available in both finishes in the smaller 23 size – complete with a detachable shoulder strap – and the larger 44.

The same denim-look suedes and antiqued metal components have been used to create new versions of Loewe’s ‘Flamenco 30’ and large ‘Leo’ tote, which has a metallic snap enclosure and detachable pouch.A separate two-zip pouch and a flat pouch in the same materials are also available,as is a panda purse.A new addition to Loewe’s line of leather animals, this cute, tactile coin purse is shaped like a panda and created from a single piece of denim-effect suede using clever cutting and stitching.

The collection also includes another new version of the classic ‘Amazona’.The ‘Amazona Vachetta’ is constructed from the finest calfskin from Catalonia in the north of Spain, tanned using vegetable dyes; as this process allows the natural colour of the leather to come through, only the best skins can be used.TheVachetta features the antiqued brass components of the darker ‘Amazona Indigo’.

Completing the collection are scarves and shawls in cotton, silk, wool and cashmere printed in several shades of indigo, and sunglasses the colour of sun-bleached blue jeans. Indigo is available from Loewe stores and outlets worldwide from 1 May 2014.
