Argyle Pink Diamond necklace and ring valued at $890,000

Rare Colored Diamonds and Diamante Atelier announced the recent sale of two one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces — one necklace and one ring, with a combined value of $890,000 — to a private buyer from California.

The necklace features 909 Princess-Cut Argyle Pink Diamonds totaling 34.81 carats and 183 Princess-Cut white diamonds totaling 5.27 carats, set in 18-carat Rose Gold. The total carat weight (TCW) is 40.08 and the gold weight is 94.92 grams. The valuation price of the necklace is $500,000.

The Halo ring is anchored by a .48-carat Fancy Vivid Pink Argyle Diamond and surrounded by round white diamonds (also down the shank). The stones are set in platinum and Rose Gold.

The buyer contacted Harold Seigel, the famed financial analyst and host of «The World Financial Report» radio show, inquiring about adding diamonds to his investment portfolio. Seigel is also the founder and CEO of Rare Colored Diamonds, which offers an unmatched inventory of the best stones in the world.

«It’s satisfying to know that the public is becoming aware of colored diamonds as an investment and that people are really starting to understand what we’ve been saying for the past 10 to 15 years,» said Seigel. «This particular buyer is a savvy real-estate investor and he is now moving some of his investments into hard assets like colored diamonds». 

Seigel and his business partner Jose Aman, owner of Diamante Atelier and Natural Investment, hosted the buyer for three days in Palm Beach, where they showcased their rare diamond and jewelry collection.»These are extremely rare and important pieces», said Aman. «The necklace, alone, took 15 years to create. It’s very special».
