Barking Hound Village Opens 20 Pharr In Buckhead

One Buckhead boutique hotel is going to the dogs – literally. Now open, 20 Pharr is the latest offering by the fine folks at Barking Hound Village. Discerning dogs can enjoy from a full «room service» menu, state-of-the-art dog park and 12 luxurious suites. 20 Pharr marks another «first» for Barking Hound Village owner David York. After opening Atlanta’s first locally-owned doggie daycare, boarding and grooming facility in 1999, he’s expanding his canine collection to include the city’s first boutique hotel for dogs.

Located in the heart of Buckhead at 20 Pharr Road, it is one door off Peachtree and near York’s community cafe and bakery, Sophie’s Uptown, which donates profits to pet rescue – as well as his Buckhead Barking Hound doggie daycare facility. It is also dog-walking distance to the area’s best shopping and dining.

For more than a decade, York has been caring for canines and supporting some of the city’s most worthwhile charities, such as Adopt a Golden, Atlanta Ballet, Atlanta Pet Rescue, Zoo Atlanta, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Meals on Wheels, Forward Arts Foundation and the Atlanta Humane Society.
