Yangzhou Flower Expo This Spring

Yangzhou, a city with over 2,500 years of history, is located southeast of Shanghai.  It covers an area of 6,634 km2 and has a population of 4.6 million. Yangzhou is the hometown of the newly awarded, Yangzhou Fried Rice. The UN Habitat Scroll of Honor for the beautiful scenery, happy life and getle traffic.

Historically, Yangzhou was an inclusive city. Many foreigners have left their marks here. Monk Jianzhan of the Tang Dynasty started his journey from Yangzhou eastward to Japan. Choe Chiwon from Korea arrived in Yangzhou to serve as a local governmental offical. Marco Polo, the famous Italian traveler, settled here uring the Yuan Dynasty. Puhadin, the 16th generation decendant of Mohammad (founder of Islam), built the famous Crane Temple.

Yangzhou Tourist Bureau invite you to visit Yangzhou in its most beautiful season. A series of spectacular events, showcasing both the city’s vibrancy and charm, are scheduled to take place in the city. The 2015 China Yangzhou Flower Expo will be held at Slender West Lake from April 8 to May 8, providing you with the opportunity to roam in a sea of flowers.

The Bamboo Culture Festival of Ge Garden, which will run through June 15, where you will be able to taste the essence of bamboo and be captivated by the ancient and splendid cultural traditions embodied in this classical garden.

From April 22 to 26, the Cross-Strait Vegetarian Food Cultural Festival is scheduled to be held with a display of a wide variety of vegetarian foods, specialty snacks and green living products from more than 200 leading food suppliers around mainland China and Taiwan as well as from India, Japan and other countries and regions. The tenth anniversary of the Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half Marathon will he held on April 19, with over 10,000 athletes from around the world competing. Finally, nearly 100 cross country vehicles will gather in Yangzhou to attend the Yangzhou Hardcore Off-road Challenge on April 18, bringing their passion to the fore at this amazing event.
